Dr. Jonathan BlattPacific Pain Management was established by Dr. Jonathan Blatt with the purpose of bringing together a team of skilled professionals who possess a diverse range of training, experience and areas of special interest.

Dr. Blatt has been practicing anesthesiology and pain management for over 20 years. His goal is to help those with acute injury quickly return to full function and resolution of their pain, while assisting those with chronic pain in obtaining relief and regaining a fulfilling lifestyle not dictated by their affliction. "It can be immensely rewarding to be able to help someone in their journey to a more pain-free existence.”

A graduate of Chicago Medical School in 1983, Dr. Blatt went on to complete his anesthesiology residency and intensive care fellowship at the USC-LA County Medical Center. In 1991 he moved to Portland to join the Department of Anesthesiology of Providence Milwaukie Hospital. He was board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1990, obtained board certification from the American Board of Pain Management in 2000, and was recertified in 2010.

Our Philosophy:

Comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care is proven to be the most successful approach to management of both acute and chronic pain.

We diagnose specific painful structures whenever possible, providing interventional procedures that are likely to be successful in treating those conditions.

We work in partnership with our patients, and we encourage each patient’s input into their care.

We educate patients throughout the course of treatment, to better understand the causes of their pain, the treatments we offer, and each of our roles in achieving successful outcomes.

Chronic pain is a complex medical condition which can affect physical, mental, social and economic well-being of our patients and their loved ones. Thus, it is important that the management of chronic pain is multifaceted, utilizing many different treatment options, each of which is an important part of improving your pain, suffering, function and enjoyment of your life.

Best outcomes are obtained when providers are caring, knowledgeable and passionate about easing the suffering of our patients.

We offer hope for improved pain and restored function.
